Marriage Prep Week

I have been in Nashville for the past 9 days, and had an AMAZING trip. I hadn't seen Cody since he came to Houston during Ike, and I was dying for a visit. We had so much fun, and I really got a taste of what it will actually be like to be married, see each other daily, eat dinner together, and do pretty much WHATEVER we want. This is very new for us being that we have lived long distance for almost a year.

I don't even know where to begin in sharing all the fun stuff we did. I had fun just sitting watching TV, driving to Sonic, or going out to dinner with Code-Code. I forgot how amazing those things can be, and we rarely get to spend enough time together to do the little things. Usually we get together for a big event, or a short weekend, and try to fill it to the brim with activity. This time we were just able to chill and enjoy actually getting to be together. SO MUCH FUN.

I must say, I did live the high life this week. Cody had to work, and happens to drive a dandy little stick shift vehicle (which I am terrible at driving), therefore, I couldn't even borrow his car while he was at work from 7-4. This led me to be very creative in my daily activities while I was pining away waiting for him to get home. My activities included walking a couple miles down a busy highway to go see a movie, spending some quality time working out on campus with the students at Lipscomb, or convincing Cody's roommate to take me to get a pedicure. I also watched about 6 movies, slept until noon, starting writing a book, and then would make a yummy dinner for when Cody got home. Oh the things you can do with unlimited time at your disposal!

I also got to spend some time with one of my best friends in the world Ally Ferrell. She was my roommate in college, and just moved to Nashville in August. She is also to thank for these awesome pictures she took for Cody and I. Like I said before, we are NEVER in the same place long enough to get anything done, but I really wanted to get some engagement pictures.
