New home, new job, new husband, new town NEW LIFE! There are so many "news" that I don't even know where to begin. As I am sure any one who is reading this know that I just recently got married 2 weeks ago! Everything is GREAT, but life is definitely a whirl wind of change. It is a tough reality to transition from the unlimited luxury of Mexico resort living to life and work, but thats OK!
Cody and I are having fun settling into our new life in Round Rock. We don't love the traffic, but love our little apartment for the sheer fact that it will always be our first home. We love cooking and just spending time together. Cody works until 8:30 pm as of now, so it will be nice if/when he can get a normal schedule. Today I traveled to Houston and back to go to a wedding shower for on of my wonderful friends Katie Lowery who I have been friends with since High School. When I got home Cody informed me that he would like to start cooking once a week, and asked me if I could go with him to the grocery store and help him shop for his official first meal he cooked for our marriage. He wouldn't let me see the actual name of the recipe, but let me see the ingredients so I could help him find the tough ingredients. When we got home he refused to let me help with anything so it was quite amusing to watch him tackle things like a garlic press.
I was able to just sit and mindlessly watch Miss America which was GREAT! I think Ms. Indiana won but I'm not positive. He ended up making lettuce wraps and they were SO YUM! Ever since I started my new job I enjoy mindless tasks. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't particularly love transitioning into a new job because everything seems very confusing. I am the type who HATES to ask questions, and would rather just figure it out on my own, but the downside to this is some stress and confusion. I am now working for a company called Sleek Corporation. It is a software company that sells a product called MySatori. What MySatori is, is a TAKS test preparation software that we sell to schools in Texas. It is actually a pretty amazing program, and I think every school should use it. I am getting a bit more insight into the TAKS test and what I HUGE stresser it is for teachers and students. If you are a stressed teacher who is trying to prepare your students for the TAKS test please contact me. HA I love that little sales pitch I made. Anyway, what I do for them is conduct training presentations for the schools who purchase the program. I have my first official training on Thursday in Crowley, then in Abilene. I am VERY pumped about the trip to Abilene!
Okay, well I am off to bed pretty soon! I will post pictures soon of the honeymoon and a few other things.
