I'm back in the blogging game!

Oops, I did it again....uploaded the photos before the post. Please see post below, and then the photos might make more sense.
These are the pictures you get to take when the party is in your honor.
Lauren & Heather. Sweet Heather traveled in from Dallas to be here for the shower.
Opening the "shower curtain rings." Not really, but they were in there somewhere.
Cute table, adorned with antique linins and fresh flowers.

I am SO very sorry to whoever my readers might be that I have been HORRIBLE about updating my blog. I am going to make an effort to post often, and keep everyone up to date.

I would hate to become a fare weathered blogger!

Anyway, there have been a few exciting events over the past couple of weeks. I had an AMAZING wedding shower at the home of Susan Ehlig, and the hostesses really went all out to make everything special. This was my first big wedding event, and it was overwhelming to know that it was just for me! I felt extremely blessed that these women would take the time to do something so special JUST for me.

I still have a lot to learn though before I become a "wife," I had to put that in quotations because it still sounds a little strange to me. Don't get me wrong, I am EXTREMELY excited, but the title will take some getting used to. Anyway, I say this because the first gift I opened were a set of napkin holders from my sister, and one of my best friends/bridesmaids Lauren Simmons and I instantly said: "Oh shower curtain rings! How cute!" This is not the first gift identification issue I have run into. It might take some time for me :) Nonetheless, it was a great day and I had a blast!

Above are a few pictures of the event. The theme was "English High Tea," and we had everything from lemon curd to clotted cream, topped off with an instructional lesson on how to properly butter your scones. LOVED IT!
