FUN TIMES...

I have to write a blog about the past couple of days because they have been so much fun. This was the first time in a LONG time that Cody and I were in town, and actually free to hang out in Austin. Well, this was the perfect weekend to be in town because we got to see so many friends. Starting on Thursday night we met up with our friends Chris and Elena at the cutest little restaurant, and were informed by Elena that she is 3 months pregnant (hopefully it is okay that I am writing that, but I'm pretty sure it is). I totally called this, and asked her about it about 6 weeks ago and that little sneak lied to me! I can't believe they kept it a secret for so long. As of now we only have about two couples who we are friends with, one couple has a new baby, and now Chris and Elena are joining the club. We are a little bit sad to loose them to the parent's team, but it's okay. It will be SO much fun to be Aunt Betho and Uncle Cody!

This was definitely a baby weekend because Roxanne and Brian came into town for their couple's shower. They drove in Friday night, and Cody was actually camping with some friends so Rox and Brian came and stayed at our house with me. It was SO, SO much fun catching up and hanging out because I miss my friends so much, and had a blast with Rox (Brian too).

The next morning Cody came home from his freeze out camping trip, we hung out and had a relaxing morning, and then headed out to meet Rox and Brian before going to the shower. Once we arrived to the shower it was another wonderful friend reunion! I was able to see some of Roxanne's old college friends that I used to spend so much time with when I would visit Austin. I was also able to catch up with some girls who live in Austin who I had NO idea lived in the area. Very fun. Cody then met up with our friend Luke, and we headed to Chuys with the Curry/Bradford clan (Riley was with us too) and our frind T-Baby! This probably means nothing to those of you reading, but I just had much a blast with all of these friends that I feel the need to provide detail.

Cody was very cute at his first baby shower and wore a baby blue and pink shirt. He also played the shower games as he sipped the ice cream punch and munched on fruit. It was a classic sight to see. There were only 4 guys there all of whom happened to show up in pastel shirts and in chatty moods.

We are excited about church tomorrow. We are going to start our new marriage class, and then I have a womans class in the evening. Hopefully we like it, and find our niche at Austin Stone.

Overall great weekend. In a couple weeks we will get to see my parents and Kayla and Lance in Dallas for our birthday weekend. It's unbelievable how quickly our 20's are flying by! Kayla wrote a blog about our 20th-23rd birthdays, and each of those days seem like yesterday. It really is unfortunate that you can only experience each phase of life once. I am loving this phase of being young, newly married, and free of excessing responsibility.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I'm sure i've rambled. Hopefully i'll post again soon with some pics!
