Me and little Max have been having a blast these past couple weeks! Memorial day weekend we made our first big road trip to San Antonio, and stayed 3 days so I could be in one of my very best friend's wedding. Lana Pavlin became Lana Leiloglou, and it was so much fun to see their two families join together. Lana is first generation Croatian, and Angelos is first generation Greek. I actually looked over at one point when Angelos' dad was playing with his granddaughter, and heard his jump up and say "hoppa!" It made me think of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but it was nothing like that. They got married at the Westin La Cantera Resort, and it was BEAUTIFUL!!
My parents were little walking Angels, and traveled with us so I could make it to all of the wedding functions. I was EXHAUSTED after the bachelorette party, the bridal luncheon, the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner and the wedding! Not to mention I wasn't exactly bridesmaid dress ready being that I just pushed out a very large baby. Let's also not overlook the fact that Lana and her sisters with their naturally tan skin, and flowing curly dark hair made me feel very pale, and chunky...oh well. I do have something super cute to show for my body not being at it's best!
We got home late Sunday night, and Max being the good baby that he is knew I was exhausted so he decided to sleep from 11pm-4am! My mom stayed for a couple of days in Austin, then she and I headed to Houston. We had a blast as usual. My mom is AMAZING with Max, and makes my life soooo easy when I come stay. I get so spoiled, and have to face reality when I get home. She feeds his his morning bottle, makes my breakfast, lets me sleep until noon if I want, has coffee ready and waiting when I wake up, and just quietly and calmly brings me the baby when he is hungry. Really??!! I definitely don't deserve that! I even woke up to her folding Cody's laundry that she quietly took out of my room while I was sleeping. She is AMAZING and I so wish we lived in the same town. It's not that I don't think I can take care of the baby my myself, but there is just something so amazing about having your mom near. Someone who knows you inside and out, and can help you without you ever having to ask.
She and my Dad are leaving for Israel in a few days, and I won't see them for 3 weeks. This doesn't seem like a long time, but I don't think I have gone more than a week without seeing my family since the baby. Ohh I just love them! Kayla and Lance are coming in town this weekend for a birthday party, so that should be a lot of fun! Let me also just mention quickly how amazing Kayla, Lance, and my Dad are with Max. I know I have been raving about my mom, however, they are equally wonderful! They all jump at the opportunity to help in any way, and know just how to make little Maxwell happy! Oh yes, and Cody too. That is just a given!
Okay, I hear some grunting coming from the couch! Let me leave you with some pictures of the wedding, and of our little guy! Have a wonderful Tuesday!

I think you should have had twins so there would have been an extra baby for your family to plsy with. : )
