Our Friends Came Over to Play

Max and I were invited to join a playgroup when we moved to Houston, and today we were able to host! We actually weren't part of the rotation because the schedule had been set before we moved, BUT there was a cancellation so I was able to host! We had a BLAST! Max and I made delicious-must make-easiest ever Rolo Cookies, had an abundance of fruits and veggies, as well as a delicious garlic hummus with Naan bread I stumbled upon. I was so excited to have all the girls over and always love watching these babies interact. The age range today was about 6.5-10 months, so they are all so close in age, and are really starting to enjoy playing.

Aunt KK even stopped by to chat with the mama's and read to the preshlings. I LOVE watching Max and Hensley together. They are 7 days apart, and it's so much fun to see how similar they are. We are so excited to add baby Jane to this group of kiddos next year!

Even Jake (or little Wade) as Kayla was calling him joined in on story time! Max looks so bald compared to these two.

Another funny event was when Alisha opened Hensley's snack. The babies were like animals at the zoo, and all came-a-crawling for some cheese and turkey. I just loved watching them, so grown up! Max had his first taste of turkey and he loved it. He really is such a big boy. He had a little melt down a couple hours into his socializing, wanted nothing to do with anybody, and would not leave my lap. About 20 minutes later he was back in the game and having fun....not sure what that was about.

Sweet boy sharing his favorite toy. I really feel like he was enjoying showing off his toys, and watching his friends play. A few times I would look over at him, and he was just sitting by himself smiling while looking around the room at the other kids.

We also met a new friend who has the most beautiful hair. He is exactly one month younger than Max, and was so sweet and laid back. My day just FLEW by, and I wish we could do something like this daily. As much as I love being at home with Max, the days can drag on. Can't wait to get together next week! Thanks girls for a fun afternoon.
