We had a BLAST celebrating Max's 1st Birthday. We did a Sock Mokey theme, which ended up being a red and aqua theme with Sock Monkey accents. So many friends and family came out to play. We had hot dogs, queso, popcorn, fruit skwers and all kinds of goodies. Max had a perfect day, and I was so thankful that he "cooperated." This post will pretty much document the day in pictures. I have so many more photos sent from other family members, so I might have to throw a few more up on the blog when I come across them. So far I have only organized a few albums.
I made these party hats, and they were adorable on all of the kids. Max even wore his (for a few minutes) and he hates hats.
My dad worked the grill, and made some yummy hot dogs (so I heard). I didn't really get around to eating with all the fun party action!
I also underestimated the time it would take to get everything decorated that morning, so my mom and sister rallied together to create these cute little knooks while I finished other projects. My personal favorite food station-meat queso! Yuuumy!
Here is the main table, and I loved how it turned out.
Yummy, yummy banana cupcakes (what else at a Monkey party)!
Cody's mom has some friends at work in a little scrapbooking club, who offered to make the cupcake toppers, and they even threw in this cute handmade banner too!
It ended up being a pretty hot day for April, so I'm really glad we set up a tarp, it was the pefect little haven for all the babies to play under!
More decor shots. Monkey/banana centerpeices.
Entrance to the party...
and cute balloon walkway my dad masterfully put together to lead guests to the big event! Ha!
The only family photo of 3 we will ever have at a birthday party in our family! We are definitely trying to treasure our time as a family of three before this new little BOY arrives in October!
I ordered this cute shirt off Etsy ages ago in size 18 months, and had to stretch it to death to get it to fit Max where his belly didn't hang out.
Enjoying all the fun!
We had so, so many wonderful friends from my playgroup, and family come help up celebrate. Here is Brooklyn and Tracey

Max (Grace & Mia) trearing into the presents!!
He LOVED everything, and genuinly look at each and every present as they came out of the package. He can spot a new toy from a mile away!
Fun radio flyer push toy from Mimi & Grandpa, and bear ears from Aunt Laurenz.
Riding in this "Baby Lexus" as his G-Momma was calling it! He got this amazing wagon from his G-Momma and Uncle Cade. Mia was sweet enought to give all the little kids a ride around the cul-de-sac.
After the party died down, and Max got a little nap we stripped him down and let him play with his new water table from Aunt Kk & Uncle Lance.
Then a family dinner in the back yard before the big birthday "party" day wound down.
We had such a fun day, and I am so thankful to my family for helping us pull this little shindig off! Happy Birthday big boy!
